Hurricane Ida Sinkhole Repaired and Natural Resources Preserved in Time for Travelers Championship!
June 28, 2022

As a result of the heavy rainfall from Hurricane Ida last year, a track on the Wethersfield Secondary Freight Line was completely washed out, exposing a crucial pipeline alongside the 13th hole at the TPC River Highlands. FHI Studio was honored to have been tasked with the emergency wetland delineation of the site, access roads, and debris field to the Connecticut River. Our environmental professionals assisted the project team in juggling sensitive natural resources during the emergency project design phase.

Thank you to our partners at Lochner and the Connecticut Department of Transportation for giving us the opportunity to help recover this vital site, help return the pipeline to normal operations, and restore the area in time for last week's annual Travelers Championship!
